It is located in Warsambin village adjacent to the main bay of Mayalibit, further north from Waisai capital. It is a small river flowing amidst the dense of Mayalibit jungle forest. Locally it is called Warabiae or Kalibiru in bahasa which literally means blue river. Scientifically, this phenomenon is related to the absorption of sunlight by the water. When sunlight hits the surface of the river, water molecules will absorb the long red waves in the light spectrum, then yellow, green and purple. While the blue wave is absorbed at the very end making it as the color seen by our eyes.

From the resort, it will take approximately 1.5 hours by speed boat. As soon as we arrive at Warsambin village, we will change to be further transferred by smaller local boat to allow access through the small river. The ride will take about 15 minutes to get to the path where we will proceed to walk about another 15 minutes through rainforest to reach the blue river. It looks like natural pool beneath the canopy of dense green forest. The water is fresh crystal clear and safe for swimming both for adults and children.
