If birding is your passion, remember this is home to bird of paradise. A stroll 15 minutes across our resort is Sawingray where jungle atop the hill is playground of the red paradise. Hike early morning as they love playing around or cuddling each other before starting the day. But bird of paradise is not the only bird making home in Raja Ampat. There are over 250 species spreading across its more than 600 islands. Even in the jungle behind our resort, you can easily spot hornbill, white and red parrot, eagle, scrubfowl, drongo, kingfisher, crow and shelduck.
